Tips to Help Avoid and Manage Skin IrritationIf you experience any side effects from the use of DryDerm, it is most likely skin irritation. Unfortunately, irritation can result in treatment failure. The good news is that skin irritation is often transient (mostly associated with the beginning stages of therapy) and can be avoided, minimized and managed. Ultimately helping you stay on therapy and keeping your sweating under control. A number of strategies are available which will help reduce the likelihood of developing skin irritation. The most important factor in avoiding irritation is applying DryDerm to dry skin. That’s the reason we recommend applying DryDerm at bedtime, a period of time we are least likely to sweat or have humid or moist skin. Residual skin surface water can react with product ingredients to form an acidic residue which in turn can irritate sensitive skin. Some individuals use a hair dryer to assure that the skin remains dry prior to application of product (just be careful not to burn yourself by coming into contact with the hot end of the dryer).
Don't forget to wash or shampoo the skin areas where DryDerm was applied the morning following the application. Please refer to our How to Use pages (gel or solution) for further details. |
If you experience or want to minimize irritation, here are a few helpful strategies:
DryDerm HC Skin Irritation Therapy contains two anti-irritants, hydrocortisone and dexpanthenol. Available as a cream or solution.
